On Tuesday the 21st of May, Bacta held their 22nd Bacta Golf Day at the prestigious Moor Park Golf Course in Rickmansworth. The event, organised by Steve Hawkins of SX Leisure, had 76 players taking part, which was one of the biggest fields Bacta have had for some time.

It was however the first time that we have had persistent wet weather. The rain persisted all afternoon. Despite this, spirits were high and the event was still a great success, with two new names being added to both the individual and team prizes.

The Individual competition was won by Steve Bierrum from Genesis Games who has played in this competition nearly every year since 2002.

The Team Prize was won by Essex Leisure Finance who have competed as a team for the last 20 years. The team was made up of Guy Weller, Rob Mountstephens, Lyndon Filby and Jon Emin.

This year’s runners-up were E Service. The team included Alan Humble, Mike Clokie, John Comfort, and Chris Lomath.

The grand total raised this year is over £10,000 for the BACTA Charitable Trust! This brings the running total raised from the Golf Day to over £200k for BACTA’s chosen charities since 2002.
