These regular “Pub vs. Pub” knockout events are a fantastic way to drive mid-week footfall, build community spirit, and give your local players the chance to win exclusive prizes alongside national bragging rights.

Here is a comprehensive overview of how our monthly tournaments work, the incredible prizes on offer, and how your venue can get involved.

How the Tournaments Work

Hosted directly through the DartCounter app on your venue’s tablet, these fast-paced tournaments take place on a monthly basis. Following our highly successful inaugural event on Wednesday, 15 April, excitement is already building for our next event.

Here is what to expect on tournament night:

• Format: A straight knockout structure playing a “Best of five legs of 501”.
• Live Action: The live bracket and all ongoing matches can be viewed directly through the app, so your patrons can grab a drink and follow your pub’s progress in real-time.

The Prizes on Offer

Each month, we partner with Target Darts to supply dedicated, darts-themed prizes for the winning venue’s team. To give you an idea of the top-tier gear your locals can win, the champions of our recent April tournament took home a set of Phil Taylor Power 9Five Gen 6 – 26g Steel Tip Darts and a premium Phil Taylor Takoma XL Darts Wallet.

Getting Your Venue Registered

Entering your pub into an upcoming tournament is incredibly straightforward and managed entirely via your connected tablet. Just follow these steps:

1. Open the DartCounter app and navigate to Online Tournaments.
2. Search for the current month’s event (e.g., Target Darts Zone – National Tournament (May)).
3. Enter the designated entry code, which will always be emailed to you ahead of time or can be requested directly from your SX Leisure account manager.

Please keep in mind that registration strictly closes at 6:45 pm on the day of the event. All venues must be logged into the tournament lobby by this time to ensure a prompt 7:00 pm start. Additionally, venues are permitted one entry per Target Darts Zone board. If you have multiple boards installed in your pub, you are more than welcome to submit multiple entries to increase your chances of taking home the title.

A Quick System Refresher

If your staff or locals need a quick reminder on how the system works before tournament night, the Target Darts Zone is designed to fully automate scorekeeping so players can focus purely on throwing.

For standard local play, players simply need to:

• Grab their own darts or ask the bar for a venue set.
• Open the DartCounter App and select Play Local Mode.
• Choose a preferred game type (ranging from standard 501 to Cricket).
• Add players, link existing Target Darts accounts if they have them, and begin playing.
